About the Photographer
Mike Smith is the world's foremost authority on aerial sports photography. A former private pilot, he has been taking photos of stadiums via helicopter since 1991. Smith's aerial image of Citi Field was taken on April 13, 2009 just before its gates opened for the first regular season game in the ballpark's history.
