Metrodome - Homer Hanky Heaven
Their ballpark may never be loved but the Twins sure are and 55,960 fans made the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome a homer hanky heaven during the home team's 11-2 victory over the Oakland A's in Game 4 of the 2002 Division Series playoffs. In crystal clear clarity, this poster shows the Metrodome how most fans will remember it - with artificial turf below the Teflon roof - and captures everything but the noise. The Twins are in the field during the second inning and Oakland's David Justice has just swung at Eric Milton's pitch. The result will be a pop-up to Minnesota first baseman Doug Mientkiewicz, whose two-run homer in the 7th puts the finishing touches on the final score.
