On June 13, 2012, Matt Cain threw the 22nd perfect game in major league history and the first in the history of the Giants, who have been playing under that name since 1885.
Cain's masterpiece is commemorated on this plaque, which features two sublimated plates that show and detail the historic game.
Cain set a record for pitches thrown (125) in a perfect game, and he is pictured throwing one of them in the upper plate, which includes inset images of the post-game celebration and message on the main scoreboard.
A brief summary of Cain's accomplishment and the game linescore are the highlights of the lower plate.
Made of pressboard that has a black overlay finish, the plaque comes ready to hang and would make an attractive addition to the wall of any fan of the Giants and/or Matt Cain.
