Willie Stargell accomplished a lot in a career that was spent exclusively with the Pirates and generally hitting out of the cleanup spot in the Pittsburgh batting order.
Praised on his Hall of Fame plaque for hitting many home runs of the tape-measure variety, nobody hit more homers in a Pirate uniform than the 475 that "Pops" did. Inducted into the Hall in 1988, Stargell still holds the all-time Pittsburgh RBI record with 1,540 and remains the oldest player to win the MVP award, which he did at age 39 in 1979, when he was also named the NLCS and World Series MVP, an MVP award winning trifecta that no other player has ever pulled off in a single season.
Stargell spent 21 seasons wearing a Pirates uniform, including five of them donning the yellow on yellow home ensemble he is seen hitting in in this classic and colorful 8" x 10" photo, which is double matted and centered within a 12" x 14" wood frame that comes ready to hang.
