Ten greats of the game were forever immortalized in this 1939 photo taken in Cooperstown, NY. The players (and manager) pictured were all a part of the first class of inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame, which opened its doors on July 12, 1939.
This vintage black and white photo is double matted in a classy black rope frame and includes an engraved nameplate that lists each Hall of Fame member that's pictured and the year they were inducted.
Historical note: Players had been elected to the Hall starting in 1936, and the first four classes were all part of the inaugural induction ceremonies in 1939.
